Ellen Priscilla O’Neil, 60, of Rehoboth, Mass., died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, Mass. She was the loving mother of Owen Geoffrey of Seekonk, Mass. and Alison O’Neil of Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late John J. And Rose-Anne M. (Lemoi) O’Neil.

I knew Ellen though a book club at FM Global. She had a contagious enthusiasm and curiosity. I will miss her. My thought with all her family and friends.

I only knew Ellen for a few years and had the pleasure of working with her in the HR team at FM Global. We bonded very quickly over a love for animals (particularly rescue animals) and i was always keen to catch up and hear how she (and the pets) were doing when i visited the US. I am so sad to hear of her passing, and send my condolences to her family, and the cats.
Ellen was really sharp witted, very clever and so compassionate. I am really going to miss hearing from her.

So sorry to hear this. I met Ellen through work several years ago. She was always smiling and had a terrific giggle. My condolences to the family.

Ellen was my beautiful loving cousin, a brilliant classmate and a raucously funny and much revered friend. She was always a defender of the underprivileged and forgotten and she sought to be a constant force against the bullying that goes unnoticed by those who lack her deep empathy and sensitivity. She loved Napoleon Dynamite and Little Miss Sunshine, movies where the underdog did not win in the conventional Hollywood manner by crushing their opponent, but in the only way we truly win...surrounded by love of friends and family with the kind of powerful laughter that brings you to tears. In that way, Ellen was first, and I am laughing through my tears as I remember her now.
