Jack Brown Sr., 86, of Barrington, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Manor, Bristol.
He was born in Providence, a son of the late Frank and and Maude (Talbot) Brown.
Mr. Brown was an Army Veteran who served as Private First Class during the Korean War as a mechanic. He was awarded a Korean Service Medal, United Nations Services Medal, Bronze Service Stars, and a Purple Heart.
He was a lifelong resident of Barrington where he worked as a Lace Weaver for RI Lace Works.
Jack was an excellent wood carver, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening in his gigantic garden, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Joan Brown, he leaves behind his sons; Mark “Rusty” Stevens of Barrington, Christopher Stevens and his wife Terri of Barrington, Craig Stevens and his wife Tina of Warwick, Robert Stevens and his wife Gail of Barrington, David Stevens and his wife Rose of Riverside, daughter; Melissa Stevens, and brother; James Brown and wife Joann of PA. As well as 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pre-deceased by brother; Frank Brown Jr., and sisters; Alice Brown, Joan Beauvais, and Claire Joynes.
Funeral arrangements will be scheduled for a later date.
