Obituary

Mr. John J. Pasqual III of Bristol passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA after a 5-month long battle with cancer. Born in Fall River, MA and raised and lifelong resident of Bristol. He was the son of the late John J. Pasqual Jr. and Gloria E. (Santos) Pasqual of Bristol.

John was a talented craftsman and woodworker who owned and operated Mount Royal Reproductions in Warren, RI where he manufactured fine replica antique Windsor furniture throughout the 1990’s through 2003.

He was proudly under the employ of Venda Ravioli and the wonderful Costantino family for the last several years on Federal Hill in Providence as their meat case manager and purchasing supervisor.

John had excellent culinary talents and was well-known and respected in his hometown from his years at Sam’s Pizzeria in Bristol, learning many kitchen skills in the Sicilian tradition from his beloved great-uncle Sam Mascena in the 1970’s.

John was a life-member Firefighter/EMT of the Bristol Fire Department Dreadnaught Hook, Ladder & Hose Company No. 1.

John was baptized in Christ and confirmed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol and was a proud Bristol Colt of the graduation class of 1976.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife Sherry (Amour), his beloved son Joshua John, his step-children Leeana Nito, John Nito, and the “apple of his eye” granddaughter Nora Lee, all of Bristol, his sister Jane Glass (Richard) of Bristol, his brother Joseph (Laurie) of Manchester, NH, his sister Mary Gerhard (Carl) of Bristol and many loving nieces and nephews and uncles and aunts.

John was also blessed in life with countless amazing cousins and loyal friends whom he loved and they loved him back.

JP I am honored to have worked with you over the years. You were much more of a friend than a co-worker. I will miss our talks about our families, now mostly granddaughters and the times we spent working together. RIP my friend you will always be in my prayers.

To the Pasqual family, this was very sad news. John always brought life to anything he did. Whenever I would see him we would soon be in a hilarious conversation about anything that would come to mind. I remember his story telling and his sense of humor. He will be missed.
