Warren – Salvador “Sal” L. Stabila, 82, of Warren died Friday march 6, 2020 at Hope Hospice in Providence.

He was the husband of the late Frances J. (Fox) Stabila .

Sal was born in Fall River, MA. A son of the late Salvatore and Raffaela (Palumbo) Stabila.

He was a parts manager for many years for the former Dan Angelone Chevrolet of Warren.

Sal was a Warren resident for over 72 years coming from Fall River. He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Sal enjoyed playing pool, golf, his old rifles, and he liked watching war documentaries and westerns on TV.

He was a boat builder years ago, he also enjoyed the Big Band Music Era, most of all he was happiest spending time with his family.

Sal is survived by his children Salvador P. Stabila and his wife Renee of West Cliffe, Colorado, Paul F. Stabila of Coventry, James Stabila and his wife Kathleen of Rehoboth, MA. And Cynthia Jones and her husband Arthur of Warren.

He was the grandfather of 9, and the great grandfather of 9, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sal was the brother of the late William F. Stabila and Mary Lou Maitland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 11,2020 at 10:00 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours are Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 4:00 -7:00 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren.

Please accept our condolences. Sal was a delight to talk with at 4pm mass at SMOB. He was so kind, thoughtful and had a great sense of humor. We will miss him. I hope he is smiling with his beloved wife, who he dearly missed. Peace & Comfort.

So sorry to hear about Sal's death. My thoughts and prayers to all the family. He and Fran were great classmates and friends of mine. He is now back with his beloved in Heaven. RIP. Pat Costa
