Obituary

Obituary for Susan E. Almeida (Rhynard)

Susan E. (Rhynard) Almeida, 67, of Bristol, RI, died, Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

She was the wife of 38 years to Robert M. Almeida.

Born in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles K. and Florence Loretta (Ellis) Rhynard.

Mrs. Almeida had worked as a line assigner at Verizon for many years. After her retirement she went on to earn her CNA and Med Tech Certificates.

She was a member of New Hope Christian Church, where she was involved in many activities and volunteered every week. The Pastor of New Hope Christian Church, Rev. David Therrien, published many books. Infact, there was an acknowledgement in one of his books that read, “A huge Thank You to Sue Almeida who worked diligently and tirelessly to take this book from an audio file and put it into print. I and all who read, thank you Sue.” Mrs. Almeida enjoyed talking to everyone. No matter if you were a relative, friend, or stranger, she was there for you unconditionally. She was a remarkable loving and giving person to all.

Besides her husband, she is survived a son, Kenneth R. Domingues and his wife Lisa of Knoxville, TN, a daughter, Angela M. Boulay of North Providence, RI, a brother, Charles Rhynard of St. Petersburg, FL, three sisters, Linda Rhynard of Bristol, RI, Laurie Matrone of Tiverton, RI, and Cynthia Panzarella of Warren, RI, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss to your family. We knew Sue and Bob from Grace Gospel Church. We shared a lot of laughs. Sue had such a big heart. She was also an accomplished equestrian. I have watched her several times. The world will be sadder without Sue, but the heavens will rejoice! A wonderful soul has entered Heaven!! Hugs to Linda, Bob, and family’s.

My deepest sympathies to all. I saw Sue every Tuesday working at New Hope. She would alway come in to say hi and ask how I was and she always left saying I love you ladies on her way out. I will miss her caring loving heart. I know her back will no longer hurt her. She can dance dance dance! Love to you all Micki Gagne
